Say good bye to Mt Arrowsmith A short break in the trees A clearing in the weather More clouds roll in Looking back down the ridge Clouds are begining to darken Looking at Mt Arrowsmith Trail Marker on ridge Out of the timber, now on the main ridge Getting off the main ridge back into the Timber Coming down to the bottom of the headwall Just before the trail starts up the headwall If you plan on visiting the cabin, please make sure you leave it in better shape than you found it in. Trail starts off going through a nice stand of old growth forest Trail Head at the end of the side road on your left side A little side road just off the mainline, makes for good safe parking.
How to get there??     If you are traveling from the East side of Vancouver Island. Travel West along Highway 4# towards Port Alberni. Turn left onto a gravel road that leads up to the Mt Arrowsmith Ski Hill. Drive on this road for about 3kms then turn left on the Camron Main line. Stay on this main line for about 10 kms, once across the Cameron River take the next left hand turn appox. 600m. This is the main road that takes you up to the Ski Hill. Just on top and around the next corner from where every one parks to climb the Standard Route up Mt Arrowsmith, you will see a road on your right. Park here or at the end of the road. You will see the trail taking off into the trees on your left. Cheers: Quagger
