Cloudy:Cool Trail conditions: Good, worn trail up to Old Scout Cabin, then further on up to Slash. Trail dissapears after slash to summit, some flagging wqas noticed along the way. Over the years of living in the Valley I'd always heard about the scout cabin How to get to there Starting from the Port Alberni's Info Center. Drive through Port Alberni heading towards Bamfield. Once once Shipcreek rd take the road leading down to Colson Sawmill, drive through mill and park at the back closest to the inlet. Trail starts right by the waters edge.
